When I first elected to see this film I was quite weary about it. I don't like chick filcks as a general rule, I certainly wouldn't pay to see them, but there was nothing better on and if I'm honnest I do enjoy watch Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock is not a bad actress I quite enjoy watching her. Besides there was nothing else on at the cinema that I fancied watching.
The film started. It was a little confusing to begin with, but I expect that was what was meant to happen. Just to make sure that we're all watching closly and trying to understand what was going on. Sandra played a charactor living in 2006 while Keanu played a charactor living in 2004. They wrote letters to one another via a post box at the lake house which Keanu restored while Sandra lived there. Near the beginning of the film someone died, you never saw who, but my heart sank. I knew what was coming but I really hoped I was wrong, after all what I expect to happen was too obvious... I prayed anyway.
As it turns out my gut reaction was right. What I thought had happened, had.
This film caught my attention from the beginning and watch them keep missing each other I just got frustrated (in a good way) and was routing for them. Never in my life have I got so involved with a chick flick like this. It was just amazing. I amazed myself. It was an amazingly simple concept done to perfection. I really enjoyed the film and was actually disappointed when it ended. That caught me out slightly. Usually I can't wait until these films finnish.
The only annoyance was this twist that I worked out. The dead person. I won't say too much, you need to watch the film for that. I couldn't have spoilt it too much already. But please do go see this film. It will knock your socks off. The person I went with didn't get the whole dead guy.
