Don’t let the bastards get you down!

I have just come back from seeing this film.   I am on a natural high, all bouncy and stuff.  The new film doesn't really hold a light to the original films, but this was a good film and I totally enjoyed it.  The trick is to go and see this film with new eyes.  Don't see the old films or try and compare them.  It doesn't work.

The film made me cringe, laugh and when Rupert and Colin were getting all lovey dovey I struggled to watch, it just looked sooooo wrong. However I wasn't really overly convinced by Rupert Everett's performance as a woman, although it was obvious that he totally enjoyed himself and through himself into the part. I just wish he had been a little more convincing.

It's about a two hour film and I have to say it doesn't feel like a two hour film, I felt in some places that they could have done with expanding but it's a film that works and totally enjoyable.  I would so watch it again.

The sound track is fantastic and well worth listening to.  The song I started this post with is sung by Girls Aloud (unfortunately) but it's a brilliant song.  I can't stop listening to it.  I even have part of it as my ring tone.... he he he, can't wait until someone calls me.
