Two blondes were going to Disneyland when they came to a fork in the road. The sign read: "Disneyland Left." So they went home.

Bride and Prejudice

B&P

This is one of the greatest films I have seen in a long time. It is funny, sad, emotional... in a lot of ways it's a chick flick, and yet it is a lot more than that.

My friend and I only saw this film at the cinema because the film we wanted to see had sold out, and Bride and Prejudice was the next film to be shown. We knew nothing about this film. So we sat there, and totally enjoyed ourselves.

The film carefully balanced between Bollywood and Hollywood. East vs West. The music is just a delight to listen to. The whole film is colourful and an absolute pleasure to behold. The film has been inspired by Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice.

The lead actor is Martin Henderson, who I have been a fan of for some time. He stared in Home and Away, Shortland Street, Torque and Britney Spear's Toxic Video. He is very natural in front of the screan and to watch him, you forget that he is playing a charactor, you can get lost within his performace. It's great. He also has eyes like Jonathan's, so blue they stand out a mile.

You can't really see his eyes properly in this picture, try as I might I can't find a decent picture any where so instead you will all have to go out and see the film. By God though he is sex on legs.

At this point in the movie Pfwoor both my friend and I agreed that if Martin had come up to us at that moment and asked us to do anything, yes anything, we would have done it. I've never seen anyone look sexier than he did at that moment in time. I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it.

I only got the film on Monday but I've already watched it twice, as for the soundtrack I've had it many months now, and more or less know it perfectly. There is one song called "Lilita walks away". I have to admit I'm not a fan of the song on the whole, except for the first 23 seconds or so. I now have an Mp3 of the first 23 seconds.

Bride and Prejudice is fantastic, go see it now. (to discover more about the film, click on the top picture!).

He was also in The Ring and wasn't he in some Aussie show about the Australian Institute of Sport when he was 12 or something. I always remember him in that!

Spike says: The show you're thinking of is Sweat. The delightful Heath Ledger was also in that show. Martin was also in a series called Betty's Bunch. I wonder how many UK folks will remember that show. I loved that show.

It's cool when the movie that you wound up seeing was better than the one that you missed!
