Amityville Horror

Ryan Renyolds who plays George (the man who here's voices) does a wonderful impression about someone with two different personas. It can't be easy playing two different personalities within one charactor, but he makes it look surprisingly easy.

I found that that was the only real up beat note about this film. My friend got jumpy and scared, and I can understand why but I found that the film bored me. The suspense wasn't real, some films will build up the suspense and you'd find nothing happen, lulling you into a false sense of security. This film, however, built up the suspense and poorly delievered, which means after a while, it just got boring.

To me I felt as as though the film had no depth to it. It was just there to try and frighten you and that was it. Melissa George (who played the Mother, Cathy) did a fine job, but you could tell she was acting, I don't feel the part came natually to her. I like Melissa George as a general rule, but this film didn't do her any favours.
